JYSK flyers misleads potential customers.

SASKATOON, 2010.

During the Summer of 2010, Jysk advertised in its flyers, week after week, a great bargain on it NOVO fold a bed, a 3 section folding foam with polyester cover, approximate size 76" x 22.8". I have no doubt that some potential customers, as myself, went down to the store to buy one.

Unable to find the product in the store, I asked the cashier as to where I can find the NOVO fold a bed. I was told they were back ordered. And so it was, I wasted my time crossing the entire city to pick up advertised merchandise that was not in stock.

JYSK continued to advertised this NOVO hide a bed, week after week. To save myself some time and gas, I was wiser the next times around. I telephoned JYSK instead of going to their store. Week after week, I was told that it was not in stock; it had been back ordered.

My question is, "Is it not against the law to deliberately advertise merchandise that will not be available?" Is this not false advertisement. I could see the merchandise not being available for one week or arriving late. But advertising the same thing week after week and it was never available... since I was never able to purchase one.

Year ago, business that used deceptive advertisement to draw customers to their stores in the hope that they would buy something else, they were charged with "false advertisement" and they were fined. Is that law still around? If not, why not? Companies like JYSK should be fined for their deceptive practice that waste people's time and gas.

Considering the number of weeks that JYSK continually advertised a non available product, it is without excuse for not having removed that item from its flyer. Such action clearly appears to be deceptive advertisement.

The events as others see them and as they should be told!
